And I can’t be any happier with the results. The file quality really leaves the M9 in the dust, and that extra ISO stop is not only usable. It totally rocks. The conversion to B&W has a lot more detail than its predecessor and since I’ve been doing a lot of B&Ws, totally unknown territory to me in my nature photography days, it will be a treat to get to try the M Monochrome, with its 65,000 shades of gray. No kidding, just got it from the horse’s mouth (source, Leica Store).
Anyway, the combo formed by the new M and the Noctilux f/0.95 is a fantastic combination to do all the crazy stuff I like to do. I am not using an electronic viewfinder since I got used to the rangefinder. I totally forgot about the Liveview feature that could have come handy for focusing in total darkness like some areas of the Beach. I’ll try and remember.
Here are some of the images with my new favorite combo. I am like a child in a candy store, discovering new things and really enjoying myself. Great week-end everyone!!!!

So I got the M Type 240

Congrats on the M. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. I think I am pretty much settling in with the M-E. I did just pick up a 90 Summarit today though. I’m loving your Noctilux work.
Thanks, Ed, I’m having a blast!!!! Congrats on your new toy.
